Colleen Mahoney
Don’t be intimidated by her impressive list of accomplishments and accolades. Colleen may be among the Bay Area’s most acclaimed residential architects, but she brings a refreshingly personal, comforting and inquisitive demeanor to every project. As a parent and a recognized advocate for sustainable building practices, Colleen has set a new standard for family-focused residential architecture with over 200 projects to date.
Passions & Interests:
“I guess I have a lust for life and a love for all that is beautiful here in the Bay Area. So, when I’m not at Mahoney Architects, you may find me taking a long walk on Stinson Beach, strolling through the redwoods at Samuel P. Taylor or cheering on the Giants! As a kid I worked on an active Sonoma County ranch and now I’m teaching my own kids to buy locally and seasonally. I also enjoy photographing their soccer games, teaching martial arts and taking arts classes. All of which helps inform my aesthetic and feel for what really works in designing homes for families.”
